Saddlery, then sleep
Pehr Adolf Janson opened as a master saddler in 1852. The craft that shaped horsehair into saddles became, by the early 1900s, the craft that shapes it into beds. Six generations of the same family still run the company.

Horsetail hair, flax, cotton, wool, and slow-grown Swedish pine. Nothing is chosen for marketing. Each material is there because it moves air, wicks moisture, or springs back into shape.
Every bed is built in the Köping factory. A masterpiece build takes a small team months, and the makers sign what they finish.
Named the official bedding supplier to the Swedish Royal Court in 1952, a hundred years after the company was founded, and still holds that title.

The three surfaces

The reference surface. Marquis is the lightest complete bed Hästens builds, the first place its materials, horsehair, flax, wool, cotton and Swedish pine, appear together. Because it feels familiar to most guests, it makes a clean baseline for the two nights that follow.

Night one · Surface A
Hästens Marquis®
A shallow, familiar shape. Pressure spreads evenly but not deeply, so side sleepers still shift position.
Night two · Surface B
Hästens 2000T®
Three spring systems free up the shoulder while supporting the lower back, which is usually why the second half of the night gets quieter.
Night three · Surface C
Hästens Vividus®
The deepest pressure relief in the rotation, and about as good as a mattress alone can get.
Relative score, 0 to 100, from spec sheets. These are samples, your own record decides the ranking.
01
One per night
One Hästens surface is used for the whole night, never split, so the mattress stays the only thing that changes.
02
Everything else fixed
Body-clock, sound, air, behavior and food factors stay the same. Only the mattress changes.
03
Climbing the collection
The rotation runs from the entry-level bed to the masterpiece build, so it's construction, not price, that shows up in your results.

Ranked on your data
Measured data from the Human Coherence Dashboard™ counts first. Morning ratings settle close calls.
Hästens, our mattress partner, supplies these beds. They are premium consumer products, not medical devices, and Sleep Week does not sell them. We disclose the partnership wherever it appears. Prices are estimates for a full bed system and vary by size and market. Three nights point to a direction, not a certainty. Treat the recommendation as a spec to try at home, checked against your own sleep data.
